The geothermal energy event of this year in the United States, the annual Geothermal Energy Expo (GEA) and the GRC Annual Meeting are taking place, now October 24-27, 2010 in Sacramento, California.

The geothermal energy event of this year in the United States, the annual Geothermal Energy Expo (GEA) and the GRC Annual Meeting are taking place, now October 24-27, 2010 in Sacramento, California.

ThinkGeoEnergy is the media partner of both events, and Alexander Richter, editor of the site will be presenting in its role for Íslandsbanki at the Opening Session of the GRC meeting on Monday, October 25th.

The event is one of the biggest geothermal gatherings and sees again a massive growth. With this years 160 companies represented with booths, this is an increase of 30% over last year, when the event was held in Reno, Nevada. About 3,000 attendants are registered for the GRC Annual Meeting.

The expo will be held in conjunction with the 34th Annual Geothermal Resource Council’s (GRC) Annual Meeting. Members, participants, and guests will have the opportunity to learn about the latest advances in geothermal technologies, participate in workshops and field trips, and network with the international geothermal community.
