40 MW geothermal request for proposals expected for Guatemala

Guatemala is expected to release a 40 MW RFP for geothermal power projects in the second quarter of 2016, according to U.S. Geothermal.

In a recent call on financial results, Doug Glaspey, President and COO of U.S. Geothermal reports that government of Guatemala through its National Electric Energy Commission is expected to soon to release a geothermal request for proposals.

The RFP will be for the development of up to 40 MW of geothermal power generation capacity is expected for the second quarter of this year and comes. through two large power distributors in Guatemala, as reported by Renewable Energy World.
