Mitsubishi Materials and Gas partner to develop geothermal plant in Japan

Both of Mitsubishi''s entities will create a venture to have a geothermal power plant operational in 2022 in Iwate, Japan.
In a short and brief news piece, Bloomberg has stated that Mitsubishi Materials Corp. and Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co. will create a joint venture to work on an unspecified geothermal project on Iwate, on the north of Japan.
According to Bloomberg: “The venture will conduct an environmental impact assessment after earlier tests confirmed an area in Hachimantai City has 15 megawatts of geothermal capacity, the companies said in a statement Thursday.”
Mitsubishi expects to have the plant finished and operational in 2022.
