Kenya’s Menengai project by GDC in interview

Kenyan Television Station NTV interviews Dr. Silas Simiyu, the CEO of the Geothermal Development Company, on the project at Menengai in Kenya.

Kenyan television station NTV recently looked into Kenya’s “Efforts to harness the countrys untapped geothermal energy potential are moving full steam, with Menengai area in Nakuru now set to become the countrys next source of geothermal power after Olkaria, in Naivasha. The newly established and state owned Geothermal Development Company is now set to begin drilling for geothermal energy in that area in October.” The cost of production is expected to be 4 U.S. cents/ kWh.
