Supreme Energy hopeful to finalise price discussions for South Solok soon

At a recent site visit Indonesia's Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources, Sudirman Said and the CEO of the project company PT Supreme Energy Muara Labuh were hopeful that negotiations on price will succeed and the project can be resumed in early 2016.

At a recent visit to project site, Indonesia’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said, said the construction of geothermal power in South Solok by PT Supreme Energy Muara Labuh (SEML) deserves to be a model many other companies that want to invest in Indonesia.

He was welcomed by the CEO of T.SEML, Supramu Santoso, Senior Field Representative SEML, Yulnofrins Napilus, Head of Energy and Mineral Resources of South Solok Emery Bakri and Head of Ops Police Commissioner Solsel Natural Benu.

He said, the government would like to promote new and renewable energy. The efforts of PT SEML serve as an example for other geothermal companies.

Meanwhile, the CEO of PT SEML Supramu Santoso at the occasion said, he was hopeful for geothermal project activities. Despite difficult conditions, his company is hopeful to be be able to deliver power fueling the interests of many parties. However Supramu Santoso really hopes the government support the change in the pricing negotiations.

The geothermal project at South Solok is planned to add 80 MW in power generation capacity. The visit to the site was made on the initiative of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources. The government is supporting the geothermal project.

All parties hope that an agreement can be reached on the power price in the near future so that the construction of project could be resumed at the beginning of 2016.
